New Weekend Opening Hours

We are now offering extended weekend consulting hours. Routine consultations by appointment are available on Saturday from 9am until 5pm and on Sundays from 9am until 12.30pm.We trust that these times will be of benefit to those who find it difficult to visit us during usual weekday consulting periods.

 

RCVS Accreditation

We are delighted to announce that Heathcote Vet Centre has achieved Tier 2 accreditation from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. We are all very pleased with the achievement. More details of what the accreditation means can be found on the RCVS website at www.rcvs.org.uk.

 

New Practice ambulance

We were very pleased last week to take delivery of our new practice ambulance. The ambulance will be used for home visits, transporting patients to and from the practice and for our new food and medication delivery service. For more details about our new delivery service, please do not hesitate to give us a call at the practice.

 

Welcome back Karoline

We are pleased to welcome back Veterinary Nurse Karoline Brooks, who returns from maternity leave next week on 23rd March. We are all looking forward to having her back.

 

New Baby.

Vet Emily Emerson had her first baby, son Archie, in May and is currently on maternity leave. We wish her the best of luck. While Emily is on leave vet Laurie Hall, who some of you may remember from when he used to work in the practice previously, is joining us to cover for Emily. We are please to welcome Laurie back and hope he enjoys his time here.

Congratulations to Veterinary Nurse Karoline Brooks who gave birth to beautiful baby boy Shaun in August 2008. Also welcome back to our receptionist Ann who has just returned from maternity leave.

 

New benefits for HHPC members!

We have introduced a number of extra benefits to our Healthy Pets Scheme. Members of this scheme pay a monthly fee by direct debit which covers the cost of preventative healthcare such as vaccinations, worming and flea treatment. The scheme also gives additional discounts on certain products and services. For more information please see the Healthy Pets Scheme section of our website or contact the surgery.

 

Expansion and Refurbishment

Heathcote Veterinary Centre acquired the neighbouring house at the end of 2006.

A local building company, called Newbold Construction, commenced a major refurbishment program

 In April 2007 and completed the work at the beginning of October 2007. The new facilities include

  • Four new consulting rooms
  • A refurbished reception area
  • A new dispensary
  • A new dedicated cat ward
  • Two new operating theatres
  • A new diagnostics room for radiography and ultrasonography
  • A new dental room
  • Air conditioning
  • A greatly enlarged car park

We are very proud of our new facilities and hope that they will enable us to further improve the service that we provide to your pets.
