John has worked in the practice as a vet for 8 years and has been the owner since 2002. As well as clinical work, he is also involved in all the management of the practice.
John has a labrador called Willow and two cats called Bailey and Maisie. Outside of work John enjoys skiing, walking, cycling and spending time with his daughters, Emma and Sophie.
Emily joined us in November 2006. Having previously worked in Bridlington, home of beautiful beaches, she occasionally misses the sea. However, she has settled in extremely well here and we are very glad to have her with us. At work, Emily has a keen interest in homeopathy and complimentary medicine and also in exotic creatures, the more unusual the better! At home she has two cats called Meggie and Quin. Emily's hobbies include caring for and showing her pigeons and her various chickens which are all shapes and sizes.
Laurie rejoined the practice full time in summer 2009 having decided to return to the UK after 7 years in South Africa. He is settling back into life in Britain, although the weather was one thing he hadn't missed! At home he lives with his family, which includes three cats called Skye, Truffle and Dot Dot.
Louisa joined the practice as a full time vet in April. Louisa is originally from Greece and previously worked in Daventry. At home she has a dog called George who takes up a fair bit of her time! She has settled in well and looks forward to meeting more of you in the coming months.
Amanda has been with the practice since before John took over in 2002! She has therefore seen many changes in her time, the most recent being the extensive expansion and refurbishment that took place in 2007. As well as her head nurse responsibilities and her regular nursing duties, which include being involved in nurse clinics, Amanda is also the practice Nurse Training Assessor. Amanda is particularly interested in cat and Dog behaviour. At home she enjoys spending time with her 4 cats - Bruiser, Biscuit, Bonnie and Bella, socialising, sewing and studying to further her skills and knowledge. How she finds time for it all we do not know!
Karoline rejoined us in April 2007. She enjoys consulting as part of the nurse clinics and has a keen interest in rabbits. Karoline is also a Nurse Training Assessor and helps Amanda with some of the student nurse training. At home Karoline has her hands full with her son Shaun. She also looks after her dog Ebony and her cat Neive.
Sarah has been with the practice since 2005 when she joined us on placement from college and soon after was employed every Saturday. Sarah was employed full time at the practice from January 2008 and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in May 2008. At home, Sarah has a house full of cats and two rabbits! She enjoys going to the cinema, socialising with friends and pop concerts (especially if Scouting for Girls are playing).
Kim joined us in September 2007 as a full time student vet nurse. She attends college for theoretical training every Monday and her practical training is conduct at the practice. Kim studies hard at home, assisted by her dog Rocky. To relax Kim enjoys socialising with friends.
Corin joined the practice in September 2006. She previously worked nights for the PDSA in their emergency only clinic. Corin achieved her ANA qualification in October 2008. She has a special interest in birds of prey, and has 2 among her numerous pet collection which also includes a rat, a crow, fish, various dogs and small furry creatures of varying descriptions.
Fay joined us in January 2008 on placement from college during the week. She is now a full time member of the nursing team and studying hard towards her nursing qualifications. Fay has a Dobermann called Ellie and Fay is forever telling us stories of what trouble Ellie has gotten herself into!
Ann has been with us since April 2006 and works with us every weekday morning on reception and also in the office.
Julie is currently on maternity leave after giving birth to her second daughter. We look forward to her return soon.
Sally assists in the smooth running of the practice and helps John with much of the office work in the practice. Sally is married to John and shares a dog, two cats and two children with him. Outside of work Sally enjoys running, going to the gym and skiing.
